This 1960 Gretsch 6120 Chet Atkins looks awesome!

Body

A few very small indentations and dings, not through the lacquer, can be found on the top, back, and sides of the body. Some very light surface scratches in the lacquer, not the wood, can also be seen on the top, back, and sides of the body. The pick guard, pick-ups, bridge, and tailpiece also show a few very light scratches. The pick guard is cracked around the bottom screw. Some obvious wear in the plating can be seen on the knobs and toggle switches. The bottom strap hook is missing. The binding in the cut-away next to the neck heel has a number of cracks in it; the binding on the back of the neck heel shows very similar cracks.

Fretboard

The binding around the headstock is cracked at the very end bass side corner with the binding starting to separate from the wood. Similar small dings, dents, and light surface scratches as those found on the body and neck can also be easily seen on the front, back, and sides of the headstock. The plating on the tuners show a lot of wear.

Playability

The frets show moderate-heavy wear with a few small grooves forming on the mid to lower frets, however they play fine and do not fret out. All the knobs, the toggles, pick-ups, and the output jack function properly. The neck has some very slight relief in it and the action on this guitar is about medium. This guitar plays tremendously well and sounds absolutely incredible!

The Gretsch 6120 was designed for the country gentlemen himself, Chet Atkins, but has since been made even more famous (which it already was by far with Chet's name attached to it!) by such players as Duane Eddy, Brian Setzer, and Reverend Horton Heat, to name a few!
